Jean Paul Renucci's word

When in 2010 we voted in WNF General Assembly to finance the construction of a « Nanbudo Kaikan » dojo in Japan, I thought it was a very good idea but I believed it a bit too elistist considering the high cost of a journey to Japan, which many could not afford.

8 years later, after many talks and thoughts, it was decided to build this dojo, which was wished for by so many nanbudokas, in Toulouse, the “ville rose”, not far from the mythical dojo of ”La Capelette”, well known and worshipped by many older nanbudokas.

Nanbudo Kaikan association leaders asked me to write a small note for this blog and this is with great joy that I participate to the launching of this new media that will make the bond between us.
It was high time that Doshu Soke can have his home to keep on sharing his Art and his Passion.

After 40 years of traveling accross the world to teach nanbudo to many (not counting the previous years when he taught karate Shukokai and then Sankukai), to train professors, to convince of the benefits of his art for the body and mind, Doshu needed a place where all his students could come and meet him.

The dojo in Toulouse will be this place to meet, exchange ideas and share knowledge. Doshu Soke, who will continue to have international seminars, will be able to come to recharge his batteries home in order to guide you again and again on his path. This dojo will be the common home of a “nanbudokate” population, you will be able to fetch here technical advises and also share your experiences.

Sharing, the gift of oneself, friendship, love of neighbour, everything that guided Doshu Soke’s path during these 40 years will be there for you, for us, for them.

I invite you to follow this blog’s News, to keep posted of the Dojo’s progress.

I invite you also to help the association in participating financially to the project. The smallest donation will be welcome, so thank you in advance.
“Nanbudo Kaikan” will be the bond between us so that History continues to be written.
See you soon.
Best wishes to all, ossu.
